Description
3D PRINTER V-Core 3 RatRig
The V-Core 3 is a high-quality DIY kit for the CoreXY 3D printer made without any compromise.

DEFAULT CONFIGRATION
This "Default Configuration" is intended for users who are not sure which configuration options to choose, but most of all are interested in purchasing a complete kit with all the necessary electronics and documentation to guide them from start to finish.
For the sake of clarity, this is our favorite machine configuration and the one which we use the most.
The V-CORE 3 set is the effect of many years of experience of the creators of this project. This is the third version of V-CORE, which was established in 2017. During this time, V-CORE has been refined and improved based on the feedback received from the users. The experience gained over the years has allowed to add the most important functionalities that ensure the highest comfort of working with this 3D printer.
Set includes:
- 1x Rat Rig V-Core 3 (Mechanical Kit)
- 1x BTT Octopus v1.1 + 6 x 2209 Drivers
- 1x Phaetus Rapido UHF Hotend - Black - 1.75mm - Direct Drive - 24V
- 1x Bondtech LGX Lite Extruder
- 5x Nema 17 Stepper Motor - 48mm - 1.8degree / step, 76oz-in (LDO-42STH47-2504AC)
- 3x 1m cables for Nema 17
- 3x 2m cables for Nema 17
- 1x Heater Bed Pad Kit (includes / includes SSR)
- 1x FlexPlate Set - PEI
- 1x Weho power supply - 250Watt 24V
- 1x Fan - 40mm, 24V DC (with 1500mm cable and XH2.54 connector)
- 1x 50mm fan, 24V DC (with 1500mm cable and XH2.54 connector)
- 1x BLTouch v3.1 - table leveling sensor
- 2x limit switches with 1m leads
- 1x Printed parts (LGX Lite + Phaetus Rapido) - PETG
Additionally, to the kit should be purchased:
- Power cord with plug for connecting the power adapter
- Additional printed elements (LAN / IEC adapter, spines / handles / collars for cables and electronics panels) - those elements are not necessary for assembly, commissioning and proper operation of the device but them has additional aesthetic functions that you will be able to use while working on the V-CORE 3)
- IEC / LAN plug (they are optional and not necessary to start the device)
- Hand tools: wrenches, wire crimping tools, screwdrivers, hex wrenches
- Depending on the dimensions of the machine, additional or longer cables may be required, e.g., for BLTouch or limit switches.
PRECISION - a unique table!
The V-CORE V3 printer is equipped with a 3-point kinematic table!

The table becomes wider after heating. In the case of rigid mounts, this raises a lot of problems during the operation of 3D printers, so the base plate in the V-CORE V3 is not rigidly attached to the device frame. Instead, 3 steel balls were used, which in combination with other elements make us eliminate the negative aspects of shrinking and expanding the table with the change of temperature! Because the table has only 3 clamping points, which are connected to 3 independently driven Z axis motors. The position of the table can therefore be adapted to many parameters!

SECURITY
- Kit includes full cabling, guides and cable ties
- Custom Keenovo hob with 157C thermal fuse for extra protection

LINEAR MOTION
Each axis uses MGN12 guides and rails, which ensures fast, stable and quiet operation of the device!

HIGH STIFFNESS
Previous versions of V-CORE, like many available printers on the market, were based only on profiles with a cross-section of 20 (20x20 / 20x40). The V-CORE 3 3D printer is built of 30 series aluminum profiles. Therefore, each element of the structure (connectors, corners, screws, aluminum plates) is larger, stiffer and stronger!

WORK WITH CONVENIENCE
V-CORE 3 has been designed in such a way that all components, including electronics, are in one place. This makes the entire structure compact and aesthetic. An example of installing electronics in the picture below.
ATTENTION! The electronics mounting panel is not delivered with the device. The user should obtain it locally.
A 4mm thick polycarbonate sheet is suggested. DXF with the size, shape and proper placing of the holes for the panels are included in the design documentation.

V-CORE 3: ready to create a closed chamber!
The V-CORE 3 printer has been designed to create a full enclosure without the need for additional external enclosure. The structure has been designed in such a way that all elements such as motors or electronics are inside the printing chamber so that no elements protrude from the frame. The frame of the device can be covered with panels / walls on all sides. Below is an example of how the entire V-CORE 3 printer can be built. The set does not include side plates and elements for creating the printer's housing. - the plates must be purchased on your own (we provide DXF and STEP files with all needed dimensions). All elements needed for the frame construction can be purchased separately in our store.

V-CORE 3: Ideal 3D printer for DIY enthusiasts!
The V-CORE 3 project is the perfect 3D printer for DIY enthusiasts and advanced users who like to improve and tinker with their device!
- Open-Source project: 3D models and part library are available
- The frame is built on the basis of V-SLOT and T profiles, which gives unlimited possibilities of installing additional accessories!
V-CORE 3 3D PRINTER: Dimensions!
Below you will find the dimensions of both the device itself and the dimensions of the device with an additional housing (additional housing sold separately).

We want to say thank!
As an Open-Source project, the V-Core 3 project is the result of long-term brainstorming, testing and collaboration between many active members of the international 3D printer community who willingly shared their knowledge and experience with our design team. The machine inevitably draws inspiration from the many existing design elements that have been developed, shared, tested, modified and iterated throughout the community. The nature of the open-source movement makes it often difficult to trace where each idea was originally generated, making it difficult to build an exhaustive than you list. Nevertheless, below we listed a few names and projects which we would like to highlight as direct or indirect input / inspiration to the V-Core 3 platform
