Serwo Hitec HS-788HB
The Hitec HS-788HB servo is based on the long-liked HS-785HB. This new model has been created with a 25-tooth output key to accommodate most of the servo market. Like its 24-tooth cousin, this model is capable of multiple rotations while maintaining positioning feedback. Conventional servos are usually limited to maximum movement of 180 degrees, which is sufficient in the steering mechanism of a remote-controlled car. Many other applications require more than conventional servos can provide. HS-788HB has underdriven potentiometer, so the distance it moves relative to the output shaft is smaller. This allows the output shaft of the servo to make nearly eight full turns before the outer limits of the potentiometer are reached. The final output shaft of the servo is supported by a pair of ball bearings and the gears are made of carbonite material for excellent wear resistance.
The HS-788HB servo is equipped with a double spool winch pulley. The included servo screw has aggressive threads and a 2.5mm socket-head drive, so you can tighten the horn to the servo without worrying about rounding the head. The included servo mounting hardware (grommets, eyelets, and screws) can be omitted when mounting to the goBILDA servo bracket but can be used when mounting to wooden or plastic structures where vibration damping is highly needed.
