The V-Slot 2020 series aluminium construction profile is ideal for many structures such as 3D printers, plotters, housings and other lightweight constructions.
The profile is ideal for use in projects prepared by hobbyists as well as in professional projects and applications. The V-type profile, unlike the classic T-type profiles, allows for linear motion along its entire length using accessories from OpenBuilds USA.

Mark Crew (the creator) has designed innovative aluminum profiles and a range of accessories that have perfected classic aluminum construction profiles used in many industries. Specially designed V-groove and accessories allow for linear motion along the V-Slot profiles. Specially designed V-Wheel rollers, aluminium carts and the rest of the range allow you to create many unique projects requiring movement in a given axis.
These profiles are very often used in the construction of 3D printers, CNC milling machines, plotters or photo sliders.
CLASSIC USE AS A CONSTRUCTIONAL ALUMINIUM PROFILE!
Despite the additional function/capability of linear motion, these profiles have the same function as the classic T-slot profiles. The profiles are ideal for machine cages, frames, supports, small tables, bases, etc.
3D MODELS FOR EASY CREATION!
To make the work easier for every designer, we provide 3D files of all accessories and profiles after sending a request! Files are available in the following formats:
- IGES
- STEP
- Base for SketchUp .
To obtain files please contact the seller.
On request we are able to cut the profile to size !
The profiles are cut to an accuracy of 2mm. If you are interested in cutting, please send us the information in BUYER's NOTES as to what size the item should be cut to.
When buying a section with a length of e. g. 500 mm, you can specify the cutting dimension in the range up to 401 to 500 mm.
The lead time can be extended by 2-3 working days!
The profile cut to size is not returnable.
